The Sons Of Liberty were a secretive band of brothers in the American Colonies, involved in sparking the Revolution that overthrew Great Britain. They are most remembered for the planning and execution of the Boston Tea Party, but were involved in so much more. The Sons Of Liberty resonate throughout American culture today, as a symbol for the rebelling against tyranny. The flag said to have been flown in the beginnings of their founding featured 9 alternating red & white vertical stripes... some say to represent the "Loyal Nine" founders of the group, or the first 9 colonies to band together.
